Planters’ Cheez Balls Are Back—And Just Like That, It’s The ’90s Again
They're back! (but only for a limited time).
Planters Cheez Balls are making their return, but it won't be for long. If this feels like a throwback snack to you, it's because they haven't been seen on shelves for 12 years. Planters' Cheez Balls were a popular snack in the '90s and since they disappeared over a decade ago fans have been trying to get them back.
People even made petitions to get the snack back and it seems like Planters was apparently listening. One of the petitions that were organized on Change.org described the world in a state of disarray without the Cheez Balls.
The entire world is in a chaotic tailspin. There is evil and danger everywhere you turn. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why? Have you ever considered that it's because you took Planters Cheez Balls away from us?
These cheesy, salty, spherical snacks were everywhere from sports bars to lunch boxes back in the day, and when they announced their return, fans responded accordingly.
Will the overwhelming support for Planters' Cheez Balls spark a comeback for more '90s snacks and treats? We've seen it happen with television shows, music, and movie franchises, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see more nostalgic brands make their way back to grocery store shelves and pantries across America.
Of course, there have been many other brands of cheese ball puffs—usually found in big box stores like Costco and Sam's Club, but nothing like the Planters' brand.
Along with the Cheez Balls, Planters will also be bringing back Cheez Curls for a limited time starting July 1. You'll be able to find them on Amazon and Walmart.com, and more stores are slated to carry the throwback snack in the near future, so stock up while you can.
What old snack would you like to see make a comeback? Dunkaroos anyone?
