LAKE HERMITAGE, La. (AP) — Authorities in Plaquemines Parish plan a community meeting Sept. 9 to discuss dredging and debris removal projects underway in the parish.

The session is set for 5 p.m. at the Lake Hermitage Fire Station.

Parish officials say residents can voice concerns about work being done near the Suzie Bayou, Deer Range, Woodpark and Rojas canals involving debris removal and dredging.

A representative of parish consulting firm Stanley Consultants Inc. will make a presentation on the work and answer questions about specific projects.
