Acadiana, I need your help. Please send the children in Cincinnati Children's Hospital a Valentine's Day message. It is free and will take you under 60 seconds I promise.

Cincinnati Children's Hospital does this every year. The greetings come in from all over the globe. Well, that's great and all, but I want them to get flooded with greetings from Acadiana. I mean FLOODED!

Like me, I know you would trade places with a sick child any day of the week. Unfortunately, life doesn't work that way.

But what we can do as compassionate and caring people, we certainly can take 30 seconds out of our day to make a sick child feel special—and I know you will.

The year was 2016, it was Valentine's Day, and my daughter was in a Tampa, FL cancer hospital. I found myself in the gift shop with tears running down my face looking for a box of Valentine's Day chocolates. It was one of the worst days of my life.

I will never forget how your love got us through my daughter's 39-day stay in the hospital. I'm not sure I could have done it without all of you. I thank God for all of you every day of my life.
