Port Barre Man Sentenced For Possession Of Child Pornography

Agents raided a Port Barre man's home in December of 2016, and they found a MacBook computer that had 88 videos of child pornography along with 491 images of child porn.

Officials say they also found 35-year-old John G. Bertrand's external hard drive and that has 282 images of child porn anbd 43 more videos of the same.

He was sentenced earlier this month in federal court to two years in prison.

Agents say Bertrand admitted to them that he did download and store all of these images and videos.

This is another conviction that is part of the ongoing Project Safe Childhood program.
