President Bush Does ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has absolutely swept the nation. Now, even former Presidents are getting in on the action.
George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States, doused himself in ice cold water recently in honor of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, a viral campaign attempting the raise funds and awareness for ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
The Ice Bucket Challenge dares participants to film themselves dumping a bucket of ice water on themselves, or forfeit the challenge and instead make a donation to ALS, though those who chose to participate can still donate. As a reward, participants get to issue the challenge to others who will then have to respond within 24 hours. To date, the Ice Bucket Challenge has rasied over $23 million.
Following his ice bath, President Bush issued a challenged to fellow former President Bill Clinton to attempt the challenge himself. President Clinton has 24 hours to respond.
