The LSU Tigers found out on Monday that they'll be without their starting senior linebacker for the remainder of the season as Michael Divinity is no longer with the team.

It was said that Divinity was likely to already be held out for three games this season as a "coaches decision" if he were still with the program.

The nameplate above his locker has already been removed.

Over the past two seasons, Divinity has been a starter for this strong LSU defense racking up eight sacks and 76 total tackles.

This news comes during perhaps the most important week of the 2019 regular season as the Tigers are gearing up to face the Alabama Crimson Tide this Saturday.

But here's the million-dollar question, who steps up and replaces a guy like Michael Divinity on such short notice?

Our very own LSU Insider Josh Lemoine had this to say on who'll need to step up.

Brooks is a freshman who's seen limited action this season recording a sack and three total tackles.

As far as Clark is concerned he's got more experience as a sophomore and has played a good amount this year while being productive. He's recorded 2.5 sacks and 29 total tackles.

Now, Bama may be without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as he's been listed as a game-time decision for Nick Saban.

If Tua can't go it'll be sophomore Mac Jones who gets the nod under center. Jones threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-7 drubbing of Arkansas in week nine.

Hopefully, Marcel Brooks, Damone Clark, and the rest of the LSU defense are up to the task this coming weekend.
