Senior Prank Delays Start of School Day at Louisiana High School
The end of the school year is rapidly approaching, and with that also comes "Senior Pranks."
We were notified by a parent on Thursday morning that she went to pick up her child at Comeaux High School after he daughter called her to inform her that she had been standing outside of the school for over an hour.
When the mother arrived on campus, she was informed that some in the senior class allegedly broke into the high school overnight and that no one was being allowed in. The mother of the student tells us that she was very upset that her child was forced to stand outside for so long, and that she was only aware of the child being outside for so long after she received a call from her.
Once students at Comeaux High were allowed to enter the building, they were ushered to the gymnasium until things were cleaned up in the school.
A message was sent to parents of Comeaux High School students, and it read:
"Overnight, a group of individuals unlawfully entered the Comeaux High campus and defaced school property. Students are being held in the gyms this morning while maintenance crews clean up the affected areas. Please be assured that no students are in danger and the campus is safe. The incident is under active investigation, and those responsible will be held accountable. We ask that you please remind your students to respect school property and always make responsible choices. Thank you for your continued support."
A source tells us that students put paint and condiments all over the school, and that is what the staff had to address upon arrival. In addition to that, the campus was littered with trash.
While these types of pranks may seem funny, interrupting a school day and damaging property is a serious matter, even for those who are about to graduate from school.
We did reach out to the administration at the school, but as of writing this story, we have not heard back from them.
