St. Landry Parish Man Arrested On A Charge Of Rape

Detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man on a charge of Simple Rape after an investigation into an incident that happened in October 2011.

According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “Detectives began investigating this case after a complaint was made by one of the victim's family members. Detectives learned that in October of 2011, the victim was with Vincent and others while camping. This is where she claims the incident took place.”

Johnny L. Vincent has been arrested for allegedly raping a 19-year- old woman.

Guidroz says after investigators conducting interviews with the victim, witnesses and Vincent, detectives had enough probable cause to charge Vincent with rape. He has been transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail where he is awaiting his court appearance.
