St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Daily Arrest Report
The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail for Thursday, June 15, 2017:
Federico Zarate, 53, 621 Sebby’s Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on June 14, 2017 at 8:49 pm on a warrant for hit-and-run driving. A deputy responded to a report of a hit-and-run on June 11, 2017 that occurred at a business on LA Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected evidence that Zarate got into his vehicle and backed into the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot. The deputy obtained a warrant for Zarate’s arrest and located him at his residence. Zarate was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
Henry Pierce, 38, 2994 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on June 14, 2017 at 4:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family and on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court status conference and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Pierce at the residence in Berwick on the warrant. Bail is set at $119,318.
Roland Boutte, Jr., 20, 420 Sorrell Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on June 14, 2017 at 6:22 pm on a warrant for illegal use of a weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. On March 3, 2017, detectives began an investigation into gunshots being heard in the area of Sorrel Lane #3 in Sorrel. Detectives found evidence that Boutte fired rounds from a handgun striking a residence. A warrant was issued for Boutte’s arrest. A correctional officer transported Boutte from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Boutte was released after posting a $7,000 bond.
Jermaine Carmouche, 38, Patterson, LA was additionally charged with battery of a correctional facility employee on June 13, 2017 at 12:17 pm.
Robert Parker, Jr., 36, Berwick, LA was additionally charged with battery of a correctional facility employee on June 13, 2017 at 12:17 pm.
Roland Alfred, 36, Jeanerette, LA was additionally charged with battery of a correctional facility employee on June 13, 2017 at 12:17 pm.
While in the performance of their duties in a dorm at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, 2 correctional officers were struck by inmates Carmouche, Parker, and Alfred. The deputies sustained minor injuries. The inmates remain incarcerated with no bail set.
