The following is a list of the people arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in the last 72 hours:

Juvenile male, 16, Verdunville, LA was arrested on September 25, 2015 at 8:54 am for simple battery. A school resource officer responded to a report of a fight at Centerville School. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that a 16 year old male juvenile started a physical altercation with another student. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Darius T. Brown, 37, 414 Clements Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 25, 2015 at 10:27 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft (under $750). A deputy was dispatched to the Patterson Police Department where officers had detained Brown. The deputy transported Brown to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Corey Stevens, 29, 610 Onstead Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 25, 2015 at 8:20 pm on 2 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center a jailer located two active warrants for Stevens’ arrest. No bail is set.

Tonya J. Conner, 33, 137 Derrick Street, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on September 26, 2015 at 3:15 am on the following offenses:

  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension
  • No drivers license on person
  • Child desertion

A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle at a business on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Conner. The deputy also observed a 9 month old baby inside the car. The deputy, who had conducted a walk-through of the business earlier that morning, recognized Conner as a subject who had been inside the building. At that time, Conner did not have the child with her. The deputy determined that Conner left the infant girl unattended in the vehicle for approximately an hour while she was inside the business. Deputies contacted the Department of Children and Family Services who turned the infant over to a family member. Deputies also learned that Conner was operating the vehicle without a license and had an active warrant for her arrest. Conner was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.

John W. Conners, 52, 1272 Big Four Corners Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of resisting an officer by providing false information, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license and no seat belt. Conners was surrendered by a bondsman at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

Micah Soileau, 18, 512 Joey Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 27, 2015 at 12:47 pm on a warrant for criminal damage to property. A deputy investigating an August 31, 2015 complaint of a theft learned that Soileau damaged a bedroom door while visiting a residence in Garden City. The deputy obtained a warrant for Soileau’s arrest and located him at the Morgan City Police Department jail where he was already incarcerated. Bail on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant is set at $500.

James Crews, 58, 124 Simone Street, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on September 27, 2015 at 1:15 pm for the following violations:

No motor vehicle inspection

Driving under suspension

No motor vehicle insurance

Littering

Possession of open alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle with a rejected motor vehicle inspection sticker driving on Highway 182. The deputy also observed the driver of the vehicle throw a drink can out of the window of the vehicle. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Crews. While speaking with Crews, the deputy learned that the container was a beer can. The deputy also learned that Crews was driving with a suspended license and had no vehicle insurance or valid inspection. Following the investigation, the deputy transported Crews to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.

Erin E. Lasalle, 28, 105 Trevino Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 27, 2015 at 9:45 pm for unauthorized use of a movable. A deputy investigating a complaint of the unauthorized use of a vehicle determined that Lasalle refused to return a car to its owner. Lasalle was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Amanda Lake, 33, 118 E Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 27, 2015 at 10:24 pm for simple battery. A deputy investigating a complaint of a fight at a bar on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista learned that Lake grabbed a female victim and pushed her to the floor. The deputy transported Lake to the parish jail. Bail is set at $500.

Dennis Gonzales, 27, 122 Village Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 28, 2015 at 12:44 am for possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling Amelia made contact with a Gonzales who was walking on West Syl’s Lane. While speaking with Gonzales, the deputy discovered that the subject was in possession of a glass pipe containing a piece of metal wool and burnt residue that is consistent with the use of illegal drugs. The deputy released Gonzales on a summons to appear in court on December 7, 2015.
