The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for Wednesday, November 30, 2016:

Edwin E. Gonzalez, 19, 1542 Fairview Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 3:20 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana).

Justin Taylor, 18, 216 Field Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 3:20 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and obstruction of justice.

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section observed two male subjects smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette inside a vehicle. The deputy followed the vehicle, observed the subjects blowing smoke from the vehicle, and smelled the pungent odor of burning marijuana. Detectives stopped the vehicle on US Highway 90 in Berwick and made contact with the 2 occupants, Gonzalez and Taylor. The detective again smelled the strong odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle. During the investigation, detectives collected evidence that Taylor ingested a marijuana cigarette after seeing narcotics detectives. Detectives located a bag of marijuana on Gonzalez’s person and a bag of marijuana on Taylor’s person. Gonzalez was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017. Taylor was transported to the parish jail. Bail is set at $3,500.

Wynn Whitehurst, 41, 2748 6th Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 4:30 pm for speeding and possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine). Narcotics detectives observed a truck traveling 42 miles per hour in a posted 30 miles per hour zone on Highway 182 near Federal Avenue in Morgan City. Detectives conducted a traffic stop. As detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Whitehurst, they observed him attempt to conceal a cigarette pack by discarding it into another area of the vehicle. During the subsequent investigation, detectives located a small bag of methamphetamine inside the cigarette package. Whitehurst was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Joshua S. Smith, 21, 3470 Lake Palourde Road Apt. #2, Amelia, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 9:56 am for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. A deputy responded to a report of a residential burglary on Bailey’s Lane in Amelia. While speaking with the complainants, the deputy developed a description of the suspect. Another deputy responding to assist located a subject matching the suspect’s description on Lake Palourde Road. The subject was identified as Smith. Deputies then found evidence that Smith entered the home and stole several pieces of jewelry and other items. Deputies located the stolen items in Smith’s pockets. Smith was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Marley Tisdale, 26, 308 Union Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 11:57 am for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a report of shoplifting at a store in Amelia. The deputy viewed security video showing that Tisdale entered the store, put on a new pair of boots, paid for some items, but left the business without paying for the footwear. She was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

Keithlen Delasbour, 19, 607 Rosebud Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 1:03 pm for criminal trespassing, resisting and officer, and illegal carrying of weapons. A deputy patrolling Baldwin observed a male subject walking on the railroad tracks near John Street. The deputy stopped to speak with the subject and identified him as Delasbour. The deputy advised him that it was illegal to walk on the railroad tracks. During the conversation, Delasbour began to move away from the deputy and then fled on foot. The deputy ran after him, down John Street and through several yards. During the foot pursuit, the deputy observed Delasbour drop the backpack he was carrying. The back pack was recovered. The deputy located a handgun inside and secured the weapon. The deputy then continued to search for Delasbour and located him at his residence on Rosebud Street. Following the investigation, the deputy transported Delasbour to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $4,500.

Pavel Almanza, 34, 10881 Richmond Avenue, Apt. 1112, Houston, TX was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 2:52 pm for hit and run driving. A deputy responded to a report that an 18-wheeler truck struck the gutter of Centerville High School. The deputy observed the damage near the gymnasium, obtained a description of the vehicle, and located the truck and driver at an industrial plant in the area. The driver was identified as Almanza. Following the investigation, Almanza was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

Megan Falgout, 32, 133 Two Sisters Court, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 5:28 pm on 3 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Falgout at her residence on the warrants. Falgout was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $300,000.

Patrick Bourda, 49, 513 Frederick Lane, Baldwin, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 9:57 pm for license plate light required and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy stopped a vehicle that was driving on Highway 182 in Baldwin without a functioning license plate light. The deputy met with the driver, Bourda, and learned that he was driving the car with suspended license. Bourda was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

Steve Scully, 50, 1027 Palm Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 29, 2016 at 10:14 pm for possession of (open) alcoholic container in motor vehicles. A deputy patrolling Amelia, stopped a car traveling on Joel Boulevard with only one working headlight. During the traffic stop, the deputy made contact with a passenger, identified as Scully. While speaking with him, the deputy located an open can of beer on the passenger side of the vehicle. Following the investigation, the deputy released Scully on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.
