St. Mary Parish Student Arrested For Hitting Teacher

A 16-year-old boy in St. Mary Parish was arrested Tuesday for allegedly hitting a school teacher.

According to arrest records from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, a school resource officer investigated a complaint that the teen struck a teacher at the St. Mary Parish Alternative School.

The teen was arrested on a count of simple battery of a school teacher, and he was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
