Student Arrested For NISH School Threat

A student from New Iberia Senior High School has been arrested for making a threat against the school yesterday.

Major Wendell Raborn, Spokesman for the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, says they arrested 17-year-old NISH student Laderricka Sutton.

Officials alleged that Sutton made the threat on social media.

Sutton has been booked into the Iberia Parish Jail for a terrorizing charge.

Deputies did a full search of the school today before students got there.

Administrators and teachers search all students today.
