22-year-old Christopher Freeman, a suspect in multiple shootings who is wanted by several departments in the Acadiana area, was arrested Wednesday as police look to put a stop to his alleged crime spree.

According to a press release, Church Point Police Chief Dale Thibodeaux says Freeman was involved in several shootings in Church Point. Freeman had 6 counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder charges along with a Drive-by Shooting. He also has 6 counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder Charges for a separate shooting.

Freeman was arrested by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office and will be transported to the Acadia Parish Jail to await trial.

In addition to the charges mentioned above, Freeman also faces charges of:

    • Contributing to the delinquency juvenile
    • Possession fire arm by convicted felon
    • Aggravated Assault
