It has been nearly three weeks since Hurricane Ida battered the southeastern portion of Louisiana. And while power has been restored to much of the region, in New Orleans, residents are still waiting for trash pickups to resume.
According to reports, Mayor LaToya Cantrell of New Orleans has expressed that the Saints should be back playing in the Superdome by Week 4 of the NFL season. That would make for only one missed home game due to the effects Hurricane Ida had on Southeast Louisiana.
A statement from the New Orleans Saints details the phased introduction of allowing fans in the Superdome for upcoming home games. 3,000 Saints fans will be allowed access to this weekends game and up to 15,000 fans could be allowed by late December.
