Many of us will be celebrating the holidays differently this year. I for one am not making the trip up to Seattle to enjoy Thanksgiving with my siblings, although my heart hurts and it really sucks, I still want to make the most of my Thanksgiving with my much smaller celebration here in the Ark-La-Tex.

With limited cooking space and time, I am forced to bump some traditional Thanksgiving sides off the menu entirely. A tight budget plus serious changes has me completely rethinking how I plan to celebrate the coveted turkey day. There are some items that I have been instructed that I must have on the table otherwise "it's just not Thanksgiving".

If you could only pick 3 side dishes for Thanksgiving what would they be?

The first untraditional thing we will be doing is having Thanksgiving dinner outside. With COVID-19 cases on the rise, I don't want to take too many risks. I realize that taking away some coveted Thanksgiinvig side dishes might put me at risk of my family's wrath, but I'm working in a small kitchen so I hope they understand. If your Thanksgiving was completely turned upside down, what side dishes would calm your frustrations? Message me here if I missed any important side dishes.
