The Bougie Bar Is The Ultimate Candle Making Experience

The Bougie Bar is the ultimate candle making experience. It's is a place to have fun with your friends and family, sip some wine, and enjoy making the perfect candle. It's a new concept for Lafayette with a really cool vibe located downtown Lafayette. CJ and I were so excited when we found out that they wanted to give us and some of our listeners a Bougie Party. Five lucky winners and their guests received an invitation to our party Tuesday night and we all had an absolute blast.

While waiting for everyone to arrive, we mingled as we snacked on a delicious cheese board and sipped on wine. Once all of our guests got there, we all took a seat at the Bougie Bar where we each had a tray with all of the tools needed to make our Bougie Candle. It was so relaxing with a beautiful scent floating through the air, music playing in the background, sipping on our wine, in such a laid back environment.
We were all able to select which container we wanted for our candle out of all of the beautiful designs. Selecting the fragrance we wanted was fun too, with over 500 fragrance options for our custom candle.

After our containers and fragrances were selected, the Bougie Experts led us step by step as we made our masterpiece. They guided us along the way to make sure we did everything the correct way. I actually didn't realize how much science went into crafting the perfect masterpiece. One of the things that I was most impressed with is that the candles are made out of soy wax, not paraffin wax. Soy wax candles burn longer also releases fragrance easier than paraffin wax candles. Soy wax is derived from natural vegetables while paraffin is a refined gasoline by-product. Soy wax is also 100% biodegradable while paraffin is not.

Their website will allow you to find a date for a public Bougie Party. When you find a date and time that works for you just reserve your spot! These parties are open to the public and will be filled on a first-come and first-serve basis. They also offer "Wax N Wine Wednesdays". Check the schedule for the Wax N Wine Wednesdays and if you're looking to go over the next couple of months, reserve your spot for November 13th and 27th, and December 11th & 18th.
