Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team opens up their 2015-2016 regular season schedule on Sunday night, when coach Garry Brodhead's squad travels to Oxford, Mississippi to take on the Ole Miss Rebels in a non-conference tilt.

Tipoff time is set for 7 o'clock, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420, and espn1420.com, beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.

Louisiana returns nine letterwinners and all five starters from a squad that went 23-12 in 2014-15, including a championship in the Women's Basketball Invitational postseason tourney.

The Cajuns return a pair of 2015 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Selections in seniors in Keke Veal (first team) and Kia Wilridge (second team).

Veal enters the 2015-16 season with 1,054 career points, 26 shy of moving into the Top 10 on the Cajuns all-time scoring list, while Wilridge enters the season with 871 career points, along with 374 rebounds, 229 assists, and 193 steals.

Other starters from last season returning for Louisiana are junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, the second-leading scorer from a season ago, after averaging 13.4 points-per-game, along with senior forward Adrienne Prejean and sophomore center Simone Fields.

Two other key players return to the Cajuns this year, in junior guard Sylvana Okde and senior forward Brooklyn Arceneaux, who both last season due to injuries.

Okde has averaged 10.5 ppg over her career, which includes 53 starts, while Arceneaux has averaged 7.8 points, along with 4.4 rebounds in 53 career games, which includes 31 starts.

Ole Miss went 19-14 last season, their best season since the 2006-07 season when they reached the NCAA Elite Eight, including an appearance in the WNIT.

The Rebels were picked to finish sixth in the SEC standings in a voting panel of both SEC and national media members, marking the first time they've been picked in the top half of the media poll since the league expanded four years ago.

Ole Miss leads the all-time series between the two schools, 3-0.

The Cajuns play their home opener on Thursday night when they host Southern-New Orleans.
