UL’s Brandi Williams Shooting For School Record
Louisiana Ragin' Cajun guard Brandi Williams is shooting for a school record, as the 2018-2019 women's college basketball season comes down the home stretch.
A freshman from Barbe High School in Lake Charles, Williams has a realistic shot at breaking the school record for free throw percentage in a single season.
Through 24 games this season, Williams is shooting .871% at the free throw line.
The school record in a single season is .872%, set by Onna Charles, during the 2006-2007 season.
Williams, who currently leads the Sun Belt Conference in free throw percentage, has converted on 108-of-124 attempts at the charity stripe this season.
Louisiana has five regular season games remaining, plus the postseason tournament, so Williams will have at least six games to vault surpass Charles and set a new school record.
