OREM, Utah (KPEL News) — Conservative activist and radio host Charlie Kirk was shot on stage during a Turning Point USA event he was hosting on a Utah college campus.

During these events, Kirk regularly invites students to discuss and even debate the political issues of the day. It was during this event that an unknown shooter shot Kirk, hitting him in the neck. The video below is from the scene.

The space was quickly evacuated in a panic, and the campus was locked down. Law enforcement was scene taking a man into custody, but later confirmed that the shooter is still at large.

Kirk was rushed to a hospital, but succumed to the injury. President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk's death via a post on social media.
