Political blogger Walt Bennetti of clickjefferson.com joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today and discussed a number of things including:

  • The Edward Snowden 'World Tour'
  • Governor Bobby Jindal's opinion piece in 'Politico'
  • Securing the Mexican border

The search for the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden continues and Bennetti said,

He's in Moscow, he's in China, he's in Hong Kong, he's in Ecuador, he's going to Cuba.  You've got reporters boarding airplanes looking for him in phantom seat numbers.  This is the most bizarre story and we've got the NSA with drones everywhere but we don't know where he is....The Edward Snowden 'World Tour' continues.

Governor Bobby Jindal had an opinion piece published late last week in 'Politico' and Bennetti observed,

I don't know what he was trying to accomplish with this article.  Whenever Bobby Jindal writes something or has something written for him and posted under his own name it always comes out wrong.  The governor said that the GOP, the Republican Party needs more action, which I agree with one hundred percent and it needs to stop "navel gazing".  Now, Ken you're older and wiser than I am obviously but exactly what is "navel gazing"?  I've never heard that term in my life.

On the discussion of immigration reform Bennetti said,

We're getting a 1200 plus page bill like Obamacare that once again these Senators and Congressman will not have time to read.  But they are doing some things to placate Republicans.  They're trying to put in more border security and talking about border security instead of just amnesty and a path to citizenship.  They're going to double the the number of border agents to 40,000.  they're finally going to complete 700 miles of border fence they voted on in 2007 but somehow never gave the money to finish it.

Bennetti had more to say about Governor Jindal and immigration which you hear in this interview:
