Workers Run To Save Cars After Mississippi River Levee Breach
A temporary levee built to contain high waters of the Mississippi River failed this week sending workers running to save their cars. It happened in Davenport, Iowa. You can see the levee break and the water quickly rises to completely cover the parking lot. The restaurant nearby was badly damaged- forcing it to shut down for repairs. This year has been rough for cities along the river with many areas reaching flood stage since early spring.
A GoFundMe page has been established to help employees of a local restaurant who suffered major losses in the breach. You can donate by clicking HERE
We have an amazing staff who put their hearts into our business and now find themselves without a job. They have car payments, house payments, and living expenses with no immediate work to keep up on these payments.
