3 Men Arrested In Alleged Attempted Murder In Acadia Parish

Three men from Acadia Parish have been arrested following a shooting on October 18.

25-year-old Andrew Jolivette of Crowley and 22-year-old Jaquan Cormier and 20-year-old Blaze Dupuis - both of Rayne - have each been charged with one count Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Armed Robbery after they allegedly jumped someone at a home in the 100 block of Valton Castille Road near Church Point in an alleged attempt to rob him. The victim was shot during the attack, but was also able to grab the gun from a suspect and shoot one of the men.

Jolivette and Cormier have been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail. Dupuis has been arrested and is pending transfer from Lafayette.
