5 Suspects Arrested In July 4th Shooting In Carencro
24-year-old Jordan Simmons, 19-year-old Demarcus Jones, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old have all been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened in the 200 block of Brockton Drive in Carencro on Independence Day.
According to our news partners at KATC, the incident happened shortly after midnight on July 4th. When Carencro PD arrived on the scene, the victim was already headed to the hospital, where he died. Lafayette Police found the suspect vehicle near Surrey Street, where three guns were recovered and three of the suspects were taken into custody.
- Jordan Simmons faces 3 counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
- Demarcus Jones faces 4 counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Principal to Second Degree Murder.
- A 16-year-old faces a charge of Second Degree Murder.
- A 16-year-old faces 4 counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
- A 17-year-old faces 4 counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Principal to Second Degree Murder.
