Abbeville Police Investigating Two Armed Robberies

Two stores were robbed Tuesday night in Abbeville, and now police need your helping tracking down the suspect, whom they believe is responsible for both burglaries.

Police said the first robbery happened just before 9 p.m. at the Valero Corner Store on West Summers Drive. An armed male suspect walked around the counter and demanded money from the cashier and got away with $40.

At around 9:43 p.m., police said they responded to a second armed robbery at the Family Dollar Store on Veterans Memorial Drive and got away with $850 in cash.

Police believe the same suspect is responsible for robbing both businesses.
