In addition, there's widespread cases among students from the elementary to high school levels with influenza.

At Pediatric and Associates in Lafayette, doctors there are treating about twenty patients a day for influenza.

Most of the influenza they're treating is for strain "B".  However Dr. Doug Gonzales tells KPEL news they're starting to see more of strain "A", which includes H1N1.

Internist Dr. Stephen Solopek advises residents to get the flu vaccine.  Solopek adds washing your hands and protecting yourself  from anyone with the flu is key.  The flu can be carried in air droplets when someone coughs.
