According to Chief Meteorologist Rob Perillo, Acadiana needs to prepare for at least two nights of sub-freezing temperatures.
If we do get some sort of wintery precipitation on Tuesday, it could make driving on the roads hazardous for motorists well into Thursday if temperatures stay below freezing.

As Rob Perillo mentions in his post, if you have never driven in snow, you should avoid doing so, especially since most people in South Louisiana are rookies, too. He also points out that since this will most likely not be a freezing rain event, we should not have as many power outages.
