Acadiana is bracing itself for potentially some strong storms that are heading this way and a handful of school parishes have announced early dismissal for Tuesday.
With heavy winds and rains rolling into Acadiana this afternoon, we are starting to hear of some school systems shutting down early and sending students home.
There are some more school closures that are happening today according to officials with the Diocese of Lafayette.
According to Anna Larriviere, Superintendent of the Lafayette Diocese School System, tells KPEL that the following schools will be closed:

UPDATE - As the inclement winter weather continues to cause issues across Acadiana and Louisiana, school closure information has begun coming in for 02/18 and 02/19.
