Things Remembered, the personalized jewelry and gift shop in Acadiana Mall is closing their doors, according to our TV partners at KATC. The chain, which was started 53 years ago in Ohio, has filed for bankruptcy. The company evidentially is selling most of the business to Enesco LLC for $17.5 million, and will be closing almost all of their 400 stores across the United States. Enesco has plans to purchase 128 stores.

KATC states a source from Reuters that says the company is $120 million in debt.

Signs are already up at the Acadiana Mall location saying merchandise is 60-80 percent off. This is the fourth store to close at the Mall this year, after Gap, Gap Kids, and Banana Republic. We wish them, and all their employees well, and are sorry to see them go from Acadiana.
