Apartment Complex Evacuated Due to Standoff

An apartment complex in Lafayette is being evacuated due to a standoff that began as a domestic dispute. Police say it’s happening at 211 Republic, which is the Plantation Apartments.

According to KLFY, LPD Corporal Bridgette Dugas says a male subject has closed himself off in an apartment with a firearm.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
