An Army sergeant who pleaded guilty to downloading child pornography on his home computer has been sentenced to more than 13 years in prison. U.S. District Judge Richard Haik in Lafayette on Tuesday sentenced 24-year-old Christopher Ryder, of Lake Charles, to 160 months in prison followed by 15 years of supervised release. Ryder pleaded guilty in February to one count of receiving child pornography. Prosecutors say investigators found images and videos depicting the rape or sexual assault of young children, including infants, when they seized and searched Ryder's computer.
