Arrest Made In LSUE Burglaries
Eunice Police responded to a call in reference to several burglaries at LSUE Bengal Village Apartments Monday morning and discovered four apartments had been broken into while students were asleep.
Officers found a witness who claimed to have seen Demarco Chambers climbing out of one the apartment windows in the early morning hours. Officers went to Chambers' apartment where he was arrested, and a number of stolen items valued at $3,600 were recovered.
Nineteen-year-old Demarco Chambers of Abbeville was charged with simple burglary and felony theft.
