Body Of Missing St. Mary Parish Hunter Found

The body of a hunter who had been missing since last week in St. Mary Parish has been found.

Deputies with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office say a search volunteer found the body of Lynn Landry floating in the lake off Charenton Beach at about 1:30 this afternoon.

Officials with the St. Mary, Iberia, St. Tammany, St. Martin, and Assumption Parish Sheriff's Offices, along with State Police and Wildlife and Fisheries agents had been assisting with the search.

The coroner's office was called to the scene, and the case remains under investigation.
