Boil Water Advisory Issued For Opelousas

According to our news partners at KATC, Opelousas residents are under a citywide boil advisory until further notice.

Mayor Reggie Tatum said the boil advisory stems from a break in a 12-inch water main.

Residents should boil their water for a full minute before drinking it. Tatum said residents can bathe using city water, but make sure to boil before ingesting the water.
