Burglary Suspects Arrested Because Of Video Surveillance
Since the prices have come down considerably in the last decade, and the technology has improved greatly, many people have installed video surveillance devices in and around their homes.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Major Eddie Thibodeaux joins KPEL each week to talk about how to prevent crime, and he often will suggest for everyone to invest in home surveillance.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff's deputies were able to secure two warrants for two men they say were seen on surveillance burglarizing a home on Iberia Street.
The homeowner provided deputies with the pictures of the two men.
Deputies later arrested 55-year-old Howard Gabriel and 47-year-old Tommy Carson.
Both men were arrested at a home on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, and sheriff's deputies say they were able to recover some stolen items at that home.
