Business Owner Calls Police After Someone Leaves A Big Bag Of Pot In A Dumpster
Two Morgan City men were arrested after detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office say they were connected to a large bundle of marijuana found in a dumpster.
Detectives say a business owner called the narcotics division after a big bag of pot was seen in the dumpster.
The deputies went and picked up the marijuana.
They worked the case and determined that the bag came from 225 Glenwood Street in Morgan City.
Detectives say they found all kinds of things when they served a search warrant at the address.
They seized the following:
- Several bags of high grade marijuana
- Marijuana
- THC wax
- Hydrocodone
- Tramadol
- Money from illegal drug sales
Detectives say 49-year-old John Shibley was using his truck to sell drugs, so they confiscated the vehicle.
Shibley was arrested on the following charges:
- Possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute
- Possession of Schedule I (THC wax) with intent to distribute
- Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone)
- Possession of Schedule Iv (tramadol)
- Transactions involving drug proceeds
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
The other man that lived at the home, 30-year-old Randy Segura was arrested for the following charges:
- Possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute
- Possession of Schedule I (THC wax) with intent to distribute
Shibley was put in the St. Mary Parish Jail, but Segura was released after he was given a summons to appear in court in June.
