Two Morgan City men were arrested after detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office say they were connected to a large bundle of marijuana found in a dumpster.

Detectives say a business owner called the narcotics division after a big bag of pot was seen in the dumpster.

The deputies went and picked up the marijuana.

They worked the case and determined that the bag came from 225 Glenwood Street in Morgan City.

They seized the following:

  • Several bags of high grade marijuana
  • Marijuana
  • THC wax
  • Hydrocodone

  • Possession of  Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule I (THC wax) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone)

The other man that lived at the home, 30-year-old Randy Segura was arrested for the following charges:

Shibley was put in the St. Mary Parish Jail, but Segura was released after he was given a summons to appear in court in June.
