If you live in Carencro you might start seeing an increase in the amount you pay for water, sewage and natural gas.

The town council will be discussing the issue next month.

Carencro Mayor Glenn Brasseaux says the city needs to debate the issue as they are trying to cover annual operating losses in the city's utilities department.

Annual operating expenses have gone up by $162,277 in the last year.

The council next month is expected to propose rate increases when they meet.

How much will the rates go up?  That has not yet been determined, but the goal is to bring the rates up enough to cover the losses.
