One of the five candidates vying for the job of Lafayette Mayor/President is Carlos Harvin. He says his vision for Lafayette includes a hospital and medical facility at the intersection of Interstate Ten and Interstate 49.

Harvin says he has grown to love Lafayette deeply in the sixteen years that he has lived in the city, and he would hope to win the top job so that he could focus on revitalizing on the different sectors of the city and parish of Lafayette.

While drainage and infrastructure are two of the major challenges that we are facing, Harvin says diversifying the economy will lift every part of the parish up.

Harvin goes on to outline his vision for Lafayette when he joined Bernadette Lee and Brandon Comeaux on "Acadiana's Morning News".
