Category 4 Hurricane Florence Sets Sights On Carolina Coast
The latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center upgrades Florence to a category 4 storm as it barrels across the Atlantic. Sustained wind speeds have reached 130 miles per hour. Forecasters do not think Florence will impact Acadiana.
Of greater interest to South Louisiana is an area of disturbed weather that could develop off the southern Texas coast. This is a system the KATC's Rob Perillo identified locally last week. It doesn't appear to be organized at this time. Daniel Phillips spoke at length about it this morning on Good Morning Acadiana.
