U.S. Representative Ralph Abraham is challenging Governor John Bel Edwards to a debate on Oil & Gas Industry issues.

And he wants the debate to happen in Lafayette.

"I can think of no better place than Lafayette to give them," says Abraham. "For three years, Governor Edwards has let his trial lawyers buddies drive our oil & gas jobs out of the state. Louisianians deserve answers about how we are going to protect our state's top employer and taxpayer."

Dr. Abraham is one of two Republicans - businessman Eddie Rispone is the other - challenging Edwards for the governorship this Fall.
