Changing Channels: Lafayette TV Anchor Has New Home
There is some good for one Lafayette TV news anchor who was let go from her previous employer earlier this year. She's found a new gig.
Former longtime News 15 (KADN) anchor Taylor Trache took to social media to announce that she has accepted a position with KLFY News 10 as the new host of Acadiana Live.
Acadiana Live airs weekdays at 4:00 pm on KLFY, and Trache will be starting that hosting job on March 10th.
Trache had been with KADN for 10 years until being laid off from the Allen Media Group-owned company in January.
That was when the company let go of five employees after laying off a whopping 19 employees three months prior.
At the time, Trache described her departure from KADN as "unexpected and heartbreaking" but thanked her guests and viewers from her 10 years at the station.
While Trache won't be on KLFY regularly until March 10th, you can catch her starting today at 4:30 pm with Mr. Weatherall and his King Cake Party.

That will surely fit what Trache has been doing since the January layoff. She's been active on social media working with local businesses as a content creator.
Taylor, we wish you the best in your new gig and look forward to seeing your bright, smiling face on our TVs and streaming services every afternoon.
