Chief Criminal Deputy In Iberia Parish Retires

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says Chief Criminal Deputy Bert Berry has retired from law enforcement after being in law enforcement for 27 years.

Berry is the co-owner of Berry Brothers National Companies, and he plans to be more involved in the business.

Ackal says Berry has held a variety of positions over the years, and contributed much due to knowledge of law enforcement.

Ackal extends his best wishes to Berry, and he says the man will sorely be missed by his department.
