Christmas at Coteau is Dec 5-7

One of my favorite holiday events, and an Acadiana tradition, is Dec 5-7 in Grand Coteau. The Schools of the Sacred Heart will hold their annual 'Christmas at Coteau' on the grounds of the beautiful and historic Academy of the Sacred Heart. Festivities are open to the public for 3 days of shopping, food, fun, and local history.

The Holiday Market is an amazing chance to peruse local vendors for all your holiday shopping. Handmade jewelry, pottery, art, and Christmas items will be available for purchase in and around the historic buildings of the Schools.

A gumbo cook off, a live nativity, and photos with Santa will also be part of the festivities.

You can purchase your tickets for the Holiday Market, Luncheon, or Gumbo Cook off online in advance. For over 30 years this has been a cherished holiday tradition in Acadiana, and we can't wait for the fun this year in Grand Coteau. Advance tickets can be purchased here, and you can also get tickets at the door on the day of the event.

• Friday, December 6 - Holiday Shopping Market, and the gourmet luncheon catered by Ruffino’s on the River
• Saturday December 7 - Holiday Shopping Market and Coteau Gumbo Cook-Off.
