With the help from the public, St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers has solved dozens of crimes throughout the parish. But Crime Stoppers is not just a way to report crimes, it also serves as a tool to help find missing persons.
St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers spokesman Maj. Eddie Thibodeaux said even small details can help to solve a case. So, its important for the public to share any info that is available concerning any missing persons case or crime.
The Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week regards a rash of ongoing burglaries from a Eunice resident. Thibodeaux said the suspect(s) is responsible for theft of several power tools from the man's located at 124 East Ardoin St. The value of the power tools that were stolen totaled approximately $1,350.
Also, investigators are attempting to identify a person who walked into the King's Truck Stop on Highway 190 and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Surveillance cameras captured clear video of the suspect, who Thibodeaux says will soon be identified thanks to the video.
