15th Judicial District Attorney Keith Stutes says he has reviewed the case against a mom who posted a video of a school fight on social media and will not be accepting the charges.

Meagan Adkins-Barnes was arrested by the Scott Police Department on a charge of Unlawful Posting of Criminal Activity for Notoriety and Publicity.

The mother got a video from her son who was present and recorded a fight that happened between two other students at Acadiana High School.

Stutes says he reviewed the report by Scott Police and he said, "the fact that the circumstances do not support the proof necessary to establish all the elements of the offense beyond a reasonable doubt."

Both of the students involved in the fight that was recorded are facing criminal charges according to Scott Police Chief Scott Leger.

Adkins-Barnes spent a night in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

There has been no word on whether or not Adkins-Barnes plans to pursue legal options in connection with the case.
