Iberia Sheriff’s Deputy Accused Of Downloading Child Pornography

A sheriff's deputy is caught downloading child pornography. Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office began an investigation earlier this month regarding the illegal use of child porn. During their investigation, they learned that the person involved was possibly a deputy with their department. So they called State Police for help. They found, in fact, Deputy Daniel Bourque of the Iberia Sheriff's Office was downloading the illegal pictures. When authorities searched his home, they discovered over 100 child porn images and movies saved on his electonic devices. As of right now, Detectives don't believe that any of the images were downloaded while Bourque was at work. Bourque is now in the Vermilion Parish Jail facing 100 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Police are still investigating and are not ruling out the possibility of additional charges.
