Louisiana law enforcement officials arrested a man on charges of pornography involving juveniles and sexual abuse of an animal. The man was employed as a substitute teacher in the Lafayette Parish School System.

According to arrest records from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, 33-year-old Brandon Needham of Lafayette was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the above charges.

Needham was a substitute teacher with the Lafayette Parish School System. When we reached out to the School System, we were sent the following statement,

Brandon Needham is no longer employed as a substitute in our system.

As this is a personnel matter, we are limited in what we can share in accordance with Louisiana state laws.

As always, we remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

A KADN report says that a SWAT team converged on the address of the 700 block of South College for the arrest.
