The rain did not keep passionate teachers, students, and parents from attending a town hall meeting with Lafayette Parish School Board Member Justin Centanni. The hot topic was the proposed measure to move some of the fine arts academies to Comeaux High School due to overcrowding. It's due to be voted on May 4th.

Flooding was reported in the Lafayette High School auditorium and Justin Centanni decided to postpone the meeting. But people showed up and had an impromptu meeting in the school lobby. The overall feeling is that of pride who don't want to leave Lafayette High.

KATC's Alex Labat covered the story last night. | Continuous News Coverage | Acadiana-Lafayette
