The eyes of the college baseball nation will be centered on Acadiana this weekend as the Ragin' Cajuns take on the Ole Miss Rebels in the Lafayette Super Regions. City - Parish President Joey Durel joined "Nathan and Bernie in the Morning" to discuss the Cajuns' success and what that success means for Acadiana.

"This is a great opportunity for opposing fans to leave here, hopefully with two losses right away, and despite the fact that they lost here, say the people were really good here and they were really good winners," said Durel.

As the #1 ranked Ragin' Cajuns take on the Rebels on the field, Durel hopes Cajun fans show the hospitality for which the region has come to be known.

"We certainly ask all of our fans to make Mississippi fans go home and say, despite what we’ve heard about other schools in Louisiana, these people are friendly, fun, and very welcoming," said Durel.

The first Lafayette Super Regional game is scheduled for 7pm Saturday. All Lafayette Super Regional games will be broadcasted live on KPEL 96.5.
