EatLafayette: Little River Inn

EatLafayette is a celebration of the best restaurants Acadiana has to offer and it happens at this time every year. I have the terrible job of visiting a lot of these local favorites. Who am I kidding? Learning the stories and traditions behind some of Lafayette's best dishes makes my job the best in the world.

This week, we sat down to lunch at Little River Inn in New Iberia. The restaurant is truly a labor of love for owners Lori and Richard Hurst. If you're crabby, you'll want to order crabbies. Because, as they say, "crabbies make you happy".

I would highly suggest starting with crab cakes and finishing your meal with sweet potato beignets.
